This Promachus hinei was photographed at Balcones Canyonlands N.W.R. in Burnet Co., Texas in June, 2003, with a Canon EOS 10D and EF 70-200 mm F2.8L IS lens with a 2X extender and 550 EX flash. One shot shows the robber with an Eastern Pondhawk (Erythemis simplicicollis) it has captured.



The Promachus hinei on the left was feeding on an unknown wasp species near Millwood Lake, Howard Co., Arkansas, in September, 2007. It was shot with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and EF 300mm F/4 l IS lens and 2X extender and 580 flash.

The robber on the left was at Austin, Travis Co., Texas, in June, 2008. It was shot with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and EF 300mm F/4 l IS lens and 2X extender and 580 flash.
